              General Information about Data Processing

Scope of Processing of Personal Data

We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with data protection legislation and this data protection declaration. Our web page can in general be used without providing personal data. Where personal data (for example name, address or email addresses) are collected on our pages, this is as far as possible always on a voluntary basis. These data are not transferred to third parties without your explicit consent.

We would point out that data transmission via the Internet (e.g. in email communications) may involve security vulnerabilities. Data cannot be completely protected from access by third parties.

Duration of Storage of Personal Data

We erase your personal data once storage is no longer necessary for meeting the purposes of data processing. Certain data, however, are subject to statutory retention periods, for which reason we are in some cases not permitted to erase the data. If such statutory retention periods apply, we restrict processing. If you have granted us consent for long-term storage, we will not erase the data until the erasure deadline in the consent has passed.

              Rights of Data Subjects

If your personal data are processed, you are a data subject for the purposes of GDPR and you have the following rights in relation to the controller:

You are entitled to request access to the personal data concerning you which we store (Article 15 GDPR). If the data are inaccurate, you have the right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR). Should you consider the data to have been unlawfully processed, you have the right pursuant to the provisions of Articles 17 and 18 GDPR to obtain erasure of the data or restriction of processing. Insofar as processing of your personal data is based on a contract between you and us or on consent, you additionally have a right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR).

              Right to Object

You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you which is based on point (e) or (f) of Article 6(1) GDPR. After objection has been raised the controller shall no longer process the personal data concerning you unless the controller can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override towards your interests, rights and freedoms or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. Where personal data concerning you are processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to processing of personal data concerning you for such marketing. Where you object to processing for direct marketing purposes, the personal data concerning you shall no longer be processed for such purposes.

Right to Withdraw Declaration of Consent under Data Protection Law

You have the right to withdraw your declaration of consent under data protection law at any time. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement if you consider that the processing of personal data concerning you infringes GDPR.

              Provision of the Website

Data Protection Declaration for the Use of Google Analytics

This website uses functions of Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses "cookies" which are text files stored on your computer and allow your use of the website to be analyzed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Your data will be processed on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 49 Paragraph 1 S. 1 lit. a) GDPR transmitted to the USA. Due to a lack of data protection guarantees, the following risks exist: The rights of those affected in accordance with Art. 12 ff GDPR are restricted in view of the American legal situation. In addition, access to your data by American authorities cannot be ruled out.

More information about the handling of user data at Google Analytics is available in Google's data protection declaration: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en

              Browser Plug-in

You can prevent cookies from being stored by making the appropriate settings in your browser software. However, should you do so, you may not be able to make full use of all the features of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data (including your IP address) generated by the cookie from your use of the website and from processing such data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available from the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

              Objection to Data Collection

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie is set that prevents the collection of your data on future visits to this site: disable Google Analytics

              Contract Data Processing

We have concluded a contract data processing agreement with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities in our use of Google Analytics.

              IP Anonymization

We have enabled the "IP anonymization" function on this website. This function truncates your IP address within member states of the European Union or other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to transfer. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the US and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services relating to website and Internet usage for the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

              Visable

ProTec Polymer Processing GmbH uses products and services for analysis and marketing purposes, which are provided by Visable GmbH (www.visable.com) in cooperation with them. To that end, pixel-code technology is used to collect, process and store data in order to create at least pseudonymised, but where possible and sensible, completely anonymous user profiles. Data collected, which may initially still include personal data, is transmitted to Visable or is collected directly by Visable and is used to create the aforementioned user profiles there. Visitors to this website are not personally identified and no other personal data is merged with the user profiles. If IP addresses are identified as personal, they are immediately deleted. You can object to the processing operations described with future effect at any time: Exclude visitor recording (Note: Link sets a 1st-party cookie for an opt-out)

              Cookies

sp-protec.com web pages make use of cookies. Cookies are text files placed and stored on a computer system by an Internet browser. Numerous web pages and servers use cookies. Many cookies contain a cookie ID which uniquely identifies the cookie. The ID consists of a sequence of characters which web pages and servers can associate with the specific Internet browser in which the cookie has been stored. This allows the visited web pages and servers to distinguish between the particular browser of the individual in question and other Internet browsers containing other cookies. A specific Internet browser can be recognized and identified from the unique cookie ID. Using cookies allows sp-protec.com to provide the users of this web page with more user-friendly services which would not be possible without setting cookies. The information and offers made on our web page can be optimized for the user by means of a cookie. As mentioned, cookies allow us to recognize the users of our web page. The purpose of this recognition is to make it easier for users to use our web page. For example, a web page user who accepts cookies need not input their access data again each time they visit because this is done by the web page and the cookie placed on the user's computer system. Another example is the shopping cart cookie in an online shop. The online shop uses a cookie to record the article which a customer has placed in their virtual shopping cart. The individual in question can at any time prevent our web page from setting cookies by making appropriate settings in their Internet browser and so permanently object to cookies being set. In addition, cookies which have already been set can be deleted at any time using an Internet browser or other software. This is possible in all usual Internet browsers. If the individual in question disables cookies from being set in their Internet browser, it might under certain circumstances not be possible to make full use of all the functions of our web page.

              Server Log Files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores the following information in what are known as server log files which your browser automatically transmits to us:

              • browser type/version
              • operating system used
              • referrer URL
              • host name of the accessing computer
              • time of server request

These items of information cannot be associated with specific persons and are not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to review these data at a later date if we become aware of concrete evidence of unlawful use.

              Contact Form

If you send us requests via a contact form, your information from the form, including the contact data you provide there, will be stored until your request has been processed. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

              Objection to Promotional Emails

We hereby object to the use of the contact data published in the context of our duty to publish an imprint for the purpose of sending promotional and information material which has not been explicitly requested. The page operators explicitly retain the right to take legal action in the event of unrequested promotional information, for instance spam emails, being sent.

              Exclusion of Liability (Disclaimer)

              Liability for Content

Pursuant to section 7, paragraph 1 of the German Telemedia Act (TMG), we as service providers are responsible under general legislation for our own content on these pages. However, pursuant to sections 8 to 10 TMG, we as service providers are not obliged to monitor transmitted or stored third party information or to investigate circumstances which are indicative of illegal activity.

This is without prejudice any obligation to remove or bar the use of information under general legislation. Liability in this respect can, however, only be accepted from the time we become aware of a specific infringement of rights. On becoming aware of such infringements of rights, we will immediately remove this content.

              Liability for Links

Our provision contains links to external, third party web pages, the content of which we cannot influence. We therefore cannot accept any liability for such third party content. The provider or operator of linked pages is always responsible for the content of the pages. Linked pages are checked for possible rights infringements at the time of linking. No unlawful content was apparent at the time of linking.

However, in the absence of specific grounds to suspect an infringement of rights, permanent monitoring of the linked pages is unreasonable. On becoming aware of infringements of rights, we will immediately remove such links.

              Copyright

The content and works created on these pages by the page operator are subject to German copyright law. Duplication, processing, dissemination and any kind of exploitation beyond the limits of copyright law require written consent from the respective author or creator. Downloading and copying of this page are permitted only for private, non-commercial use.

Where the content on this page was not created by the operator, third party copyright is observed. In particular, third party content is indicated as such. Should you nevertheless become aware of a copyright infringement, please let us know. On becoming aware of infringements of rights, we will immediately remove such content.
