Bensheim, 8 March 2018. At this year's Chinaplas in Shanghai, ProTec will be presenting pultrusion lines for economically producing high-quality long fiber reinforced thermoplastics (LFT). These lines are capable of fully automatically processing numerous materials and have aroused considerable interest in China and right across Asia.
Bensheim, 23 November 2017. For the first time on the Russian market, ProTec, the one-stop shop supplier to the plastics industry, is presenting its new range of high-precision gravimetric SOMOS Batchmix batch dosing systems. These systems are capable of accurately preparing a formulation of up to six flowable components and holding it ready for further processing. In addition to ensuring high reproducibility and being easy to maintain, the SOMOS Batchmix range is characterized by ease of operation, so facilitating material and product changes.
Bensheim, 10 October 2017. ProTec Polymer Processing GmbH is currently developing a peripheral system which enables straightforward integration of a novel physical polymer foaming process into existing injection molding lines. The innovative process, recently presented by Kunststoff-Institut Lüdenscheid and Linde AG, involves loading dried pellets with CO2 in a pressure vessel and then feeding them to the injection molding machine.
Bensheim, 31 July 2017. ProTec Polymer Processing's presence at this year's Fakuma will showcase potential Industry 4.0 applications for SOMOS batch dosing units and resin dryers. As a one-stop shop supplier for materials handling, ProTec is presenting the capabilities of its components to communicate and interact in interlinked injection molding, extrusion and blow molding systems.
Bensheim, March 2017 – ProTec Polymer Processing will launch five-strand laboratory LFT lines for developing high quality long-fibre-reinforced thermoplastics by pultrusion at this year's Chinaplas from 16 to 19 May 2017 in Guangzhou. These Industry 4.0 capable lines with complete materials handling capabilities are equipped with the new user-friendly SOMOS® control/excellence controller. Such laboratory lines allow LFT compound manufacturers to be more responsive by permitting on-site development, testing and reliable scaling up of their formulations, so minimising downtime.
Bensheim/Germany, November 16th 2016 – ProTec Polymer Processing, the international system supplier to the plastics industry, presents the new energy-efficient SOMOS® RDT and RDM resin dryers. Firstly, the SOMOS® RDT-250 stationary resin dryer for medium capacity material throughputs and, secondly, the SOMOS® RDM-140/400 auxiliary dryer which increases the maximum material throughput capacity of the RDM mobile dryer series. With the high-performance, energy-efficient equipment and systems for pre-processing flowable plastics presented at K 2016, ProTec Polymer Processing now covers the entire process chain from conveying and drying to dosing and mixing whether for injection moulding or for extrusion.
Bensheim and Düsseldorf, 19 October 2016 – ProTec Polymer Processing, the international system supplier to the plastics industry, will premiere the SOMOS® Batchmix XL batch dosing unit for flowable multi-component mixtures at K 2016. This new, high quality and user friendly unit extends the Batchmix series to high throughputs of up to 1,900 kg/h, offering high dosing accuracy at an attractive price/performance ratio. The other models in the series are the Batchmix M for throughputs of up to 240 kg/h and the Batchmix L for up to 1,100 kg/h. These gravimetric Batchmix dosing units are suitable for supplying multi-component mixtures to both injection moulding machines and extruders. All three models are capable of handling up to six flowable components (and can also be retrofitted with expansion modules) and can be equipped with SOMOS® vacuum conveyors for automatically filling material storage bins.
Bensheim and Düsseldorf, 19 October 2016 – For the first time K 2016 will see ProTec Polymer Processing as a competent one-stop shop supplier of customised LFT-Pultrusion Lines covering the full gamut from planning via construction to commissioning. ProTec's lines produce high-quality long-fibre-reinforced thermoplastics (LFT) by pultrusion and are even capable of reliably processing the difficult pairing of carbon fibres with PP. ProTec develops application-specific combinations of materials and processes for its clients in the technology centre at its main facility in Bensheim (Germany) where it has a well equipped, versatile pultrusion line.
Bensheim, July 2016 – With the high-performance, energy-efficient plant and systems for pre-processing flowable plastics presented at K 2016, ProTec Polymer Processing now covers the entire process chain from conveying and drying to metering and mixing whether for injection moulding or for extrusion. A second focus of ProTec's presence is its abilities as a one-stop shop supplier of long-fibre-reinforced thermoplastics (LFT) lines covering the full gamut from planning via construction to commissioning. New developments presented for the first time at K 2016 include the SOMOS® Batchmix XL batch metering unit for throughputs of up to 1,920 kg/h and the stationary SOMOS® RDT-200 dry air dryer for moderate throughputs.
